Executive Assistant for the CDSB Team, CDSB Secretariat, London-based

The Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB) is looking to hire a full-time Executive Assistant who is passionate about driving change to join our busy global secretariat to coordinate and support the delivery of our ambitious global strategy and work program.

About the role

Working within the global CDSB Secretariat, this brand-new role will work closely with and support the Managing Director (MD) to provide efficient and effective administrative and project support to the CDSB team. You will have the opportunity to make this new role your own.  You will be highly organised responsible for diary management and meeting administration for the MD, Technical Director and Director of Policy & External Affairs. You will also get involved in research, social media/external communications, project administration, grant M&E and process improvement.

We are looking for a results-oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, administrative and project management skills. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening the impactful work of CDSB as an organisation that works to build the trust and transparency needed to foster resilient capital markets and contribute to more sustainable economic, social and environmental systems. 

The role is fulltime and will be based at CDP’s London office, reporting to the Managing Director.  

Key responsibilities include

  • Providing proactive day to day support and diary management, email correspondence for the MD, including liaising with all relevant parties, arranging and administering meetings, making travel and accommodation arrangements, meeting-related research and providing relevant briefings
  • Organising and administering meetings (internal and external) including agendas, minutes, room bookings and relevant logistics
  • Providing administrative support for the CDSB team’s two directors (Director of Policy & External Affairs and Technical Director)
  • Supporting the preparation of presentations and reports
  • Managing relevant expense, expenditure and invoicing processes
  • Reviewing and evolving current processes on a continuous basis to ensure maximum efficiency, for example, the budgeting or annual review approval process
  • Undertaking general administrative tasks such as implementing and maintaining effective electronic filing and archiving systems
  • Acting as a first point of contact for enquiries and responding to such enquiries in liaison with the Managing Director;
  • To perform any other reasonable tasks as are requested by the organisation.
  • This role profile is not exhaustive and is subject to review in conjunction with the yearly performance review cycle.

Required experience and skills 

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience of working with and supporting a team, senior manager or board member with at least a minimum of 1 years’ work experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, especially with the confidence to arrange high-level meetings
  • Great organisational skills with ability to manage own time and multitask efficiently, with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm in all situations
  • An understanding of the need for complete confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite to include - Microsoft Word (including mail merge), Excel, Internet, Teams, PowerPoint; and 
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and work independently
  • Able to easily build rapport with people at different levels of the organisation.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within environmental social governance (ESG) /standards setting
  • Strong interest in environmental and social issues and our work
  • Experience working in an international team
  • Thrive on challenges and able to meet deadlines
  • Social media literate and experienced in managing organisational brands
