Secretariat

CDSB’s work is led by its Executive Director and Manager, with significant input from the Board, the Advisory Committee and the Technical Working Group. The Carbon Disclosure Project’s London office provides the Secretariat to CDSB and is responsible for the organization’s operational activities. 

The staff is responsible for the implementation of CDSB’s strategy and work plan. The Secretariat’s role is to:

  • co-ordinate the work and communications of CDSB;
  • convene and co-ordinate the Board, Advisory Committee and Technical Working Group meetings;
  • progress the strategy and project plan of CDSB;
  • co-ordinate fundraising activities;
  • provide technical, organizational and analytical support to the CDSB Board of Trustees, Advisory Board and Technical Working Group;
  • and ensure continuity and coordination of CDSB’s work and to act as a focal point of information.

The Carbon Disclosure Project provides the Secretariat support to CDSB. The Secretariat is based in CDP’s London offices. CDP advances all areas of CDSB’s work program, in association with prominent members of the accounting, business, standard setting and regulatory professions.

The Board is in the process of approving its operational constitution. It has agreed that CDSB should be formed as an independent UK not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee. CDSB’s objectives should enable the company to qualify for charitable status.

CDSB runs an active internship scheme which provides useful experience in an expanding field and we are currently looking for a project support intern to assist with our busy secretariat.
