On 31st January 2022, the Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB) was consolidated into the IFRS Foundation to support the work of the newly established International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). While this site and its resources remain relevant for preparers looking to improve sustainability disclosure until such time as the ISSB issues its IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards on such topics, no further work or guidance will be produced or published by CDSB. For further information please visit the IFRS website.

What you need to know: Environmental and climate-related disclosure under the EU Non-Financial Reporting Directive

CDSB is hosting briefings on disclosure practices by Europe’s largest companies ahead of the 2020 review.

In May 2020 CDSB published the “Falling short” report. In this report we reviewed the environmental and climate-related disclosures of Europe’s 50 largest listed companies under the EU Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFR Directive), in 2019.

Based on the published report, and in the lead up to our 2020 review, we invite you to join a series of dynamic briefings for companies and policymakers, providing additional analysis and recommendations on the disclosure of environmental and climate-related information within the European Union.
